“A Life-Changing Wall…”

This is from one of the stories we’ve been given, and has become a main theme in Patchwork Lives. We were struck by the force of the images the young story-teller used. She spoke about having to leave her old home town because of a bad relationship, and stopping in a lay by to decide whether to go on, leaving everything she knew behind her, or to go back, risking further hurt. In the lay by there was a large wall, and she stared at this for ages, trying to make her big decision. I won’t tell you how the story ends – you’ll have to come and see the play in Buxton – but she goes back to that wall now and again, whenever she has major things to ponder.

We all need a life-changing wall…
