As some of you know, this story was given to us a couple of weeks ago during Patchwork Lives, and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. It’s so moving and inspiring – and you can’t fight inspiration! So we’re not going to. We will start touring Swan Canaries next spring, and we hope to include some great songs from the era, like “Alexander’s Ragtime Band” and “Rock-a-by your baby with a Dixie Melody”. I can’t wait!
Patchwork Lives in Queniborough was very enjoyable. The wonderful Tilly Branson came to see the show for the first time, which was a delight, and our small but perfectly formed audience all turned up together at 6.50! It was a lovely evening, with some more great feedback:
“It made me remember the woman’s role in years gone by…”
“The stories were enchanting.”
“We were reminded of some inspirational women.”
