Several of the stories in Patchwork Lives came from Mansfield: Clay-Pipe Annie and Miss Weddle are two great favourites – both were women of prodigious achievement and character – while The Girl on the Suitcase, Mary Read and Malala although from elsewhere, inspired Mansfield folk. On July 18th we’re bringing these fantastic stories, along with many others, some rollicking songs and a tale of ghosts and mystery, for a special performance of Patchwork Lives at Mansfield Museum. It’s at 2pm, and it’s part of Mansfield Festival. The play has just got five stars from Fringe Guru, so come and see a show that proudly takes Mansfield stories to audiences all over the East Midlands.
